Power Faults and Battery Protection Diagnostics
The BTA-880 features an integrated auto cut-off circuit designed to isolate the internal 12V 7Ah lead-acid battery to prevent deep discharge damage. If the system unexpectedly shuts down during portable operation, verify the front-panel status indicators before testing alternate power modes.
- Sudden Shutdown on Internal Battery: If the unit shuts down during mobile operation, the internal 12V 7Ah battery voltage has dropped below the operational threshold, triggering the automatic cut-off mechanism. Connect the unit to an AC 220V–240V 50/60 Hz mains supply or an external 12V DC battery source. The Charging LED will illuminate while the internal cell replenishes.
- No Power on AC Mains Supply: Verify that the mains cord is firmly seated in the AC inlet and connected to a live 220V–240V wall outlet. If the unit draws no current (rated at 60 VA), inspect the AC fuse compartment. Replace a blown fuse only with a matching glass cartridge rated at T 1A L, 250V AC.
