Installation, Mounting & Electrical Integration Guide for Bons Light TS 100RG

Mechanical Mounting and Structural Positioning

The Bons Light TS 100RG 2-aspect traffic signal light is engineered for streamlined mechanical installation across industrial checkpoints, toll plazas, parking access lanes, and plant roadways. The unit features a robust powder-coated mild steel (MS) housing with a front and back sided design, engineered to support two 100 mm aspect clusters. Physical mounting is accomplished using the supplied heavy-duty mounting clamp, which facilitates secure attachment to vertical poles, structural steel stanchions, gantry frames, or toll booth overhead outriggers.

During installation, ensure the 100 mm optical apertures are oriented directly along the driver or operator line of sight to maximize the signal's rated visibility distance of 200 metres or more. Position the mounting clamp at the required elevation, ensuring that the dual vertical configuration—comprising one Red cluster and one Green cluster—remains perpendicular to the roadway or access lane. Tighten the clamp fasteners evenly to eliminate structural vibration and prevent angular displacement in high-traffic or exposed industrial outdoor environments.

Electrical Integration and Power Infrastructure

The Bons Light TS 100RG operates directly on a standard 230 V AC utility or industrial power supply with an allowable operational tolerance of ±20%. The entire 2-aspect unit draws an energy-efficient power consumption of 10 W, significantly minimizing continuous electrical load at multi-lane toll booths, industrial gate barriers, and facility checkpoints. Electrical connections must be terminated in accordance with industrial plant safety standards using the supplied wiring connector.

Connect the incoming 230 V AC supply leads through the designated wiring connector to ensure solid contact with both the internal 31-LED red cluster and the 31-LED green cluster. Verify that phase, neutral, and earth lines are securely fastened and that no conductor strands remain exposed outside the connector housing.

Controller Connection and Manual Operation Setup

The signal light includes a dedicated controller unit designed specifically for manual operation. Mount the manual controller inside the operator cabin, security guardhouse, or central toll management booth within direct reach of the lane controller. Connect the signal unit's wiring harness directly to the controller output terminals to enable discrete manual switching between the Red aspect (stop) and Green aspect (proceed).

Because the unit uses solid-state LED arrays delivering over 100 cd of luminous intensity and an operating lifespan exceeding 50,000 hours, no lamp pre-heating or external ballast circuitry is required. Once wired, cycle the manual switch through both the 31-LED Red and 31-LED Green states to verify immediate illumination response and clear optical separation between states.

Pre-Commissioning Installation Checklist

  • Structural Integrity: Confirm that the powder-coated mild steel (MS) enclosure is rigidly fixed via the mounting clamp to the pole or support stanchion.
  • Optical Alignment: Ensure the 100 mm lens faces provide an unobstructed 200-metre line-of-sight view for approaching vehicles or pedestrians.
  • Voltage Verification: Measure the input mains supply to ensure incoming voltage resides within the rated 230 V AC (±20%) operating window.
  • Controller Functionality: Test the manual controller to confirm smooth switching between the Red and Green signal aspects without simultaneous illumination.
  • Connector Security: Check that the supplied connector is firmly mated and strain-relieved to prevent accidental disconnection.
