The Takara T-6112 is powered by an integrated rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery or through direct connection via the supplied AC power adapter. Audio distortion, unexpected output clipping, or sudden power shutdown during high-volume playback typically indicates low battery voltage. When operating on battery power for up to the standard 4 to 5 hour runtime, output amplifier efficiency decreases as charge depletes.

  • Speaker does not power on: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to a live AC outlet and check the power interface. Allow the internal Lithium Polymer battery to charge before cycling the power switch.
  • Audio distortion at elevated volume levels: Low DC bus voltage degrades amplifier headroom. Connect the unit to its dedicated power adapter to stabilize supply rails during demanding high-output operation.
  • Battery fails to retain charge: Ensure the battery has been charged completely prior to extended periods of storage. Keep side and rear vents free from dust buildup to prevent thermal cutouts on charging circuits.

Bluetooth Audio and Wireless Pairing Issues

The active cabinet integrates Bluetooth wireless streaming compatible with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and PCs. Audio stuttering, dropped packets, or pairing failures occur when wireless thresholds are exceeded or radio interference is present.

  • Source device unable to discover the speaker: Verify that the T-6112 is switched to Bluetooth mode using the mode selector or remote control. Disconnect any previously paired mobile or computing device to clear active audio channels.
  • Intermittent audio dropouts or packet loss: Ensure an unobstructed line of sight between the source device and the black active speaker cabinet. Physical obstacles and high RF density degrade wireless signal propagation.

UHF Cordless and 6.35 mm Wired Microphone Troubleshooting

The T-6112 includes dual cordless UHF wireless handheld microphones and features a dedicated 6.35 mm wired microphone input jack.

  • UHF wireless mic dropout or silence: Inspect the internal AA battery cells within the UHF handheld transmitters. Low transmitter battery voltage leads to carrier dropouts, noise, and short transmission range. Replace the transmitter cells with fresh units.
  • No vocal output through 6.35 mm wired mic input: Verify that the dynamic microphone cable is fully seated into the 6.35 mm port and that the microphone's hardware power switch is set to ON. Adjust dedicated mic level potentiometers on the interface panel.
  • One-touch karaoke vocal suppression issues: Check that the track mode selector is configured correctly for standard playback versus one-touch vocal track conversion.
