SOLT System Architecture and Hardware Compatibility

The SOLT SB6-2XWH-F wireless call and cancel transmitter (KT reference KTI040120SLTB62X) is engineered to integrate natively within the SOLT wireless healthcare and emergency alerting ecosystem. Designed with a 1.4 m tethered foot-step button cable alongside an integrated faceplate cancel button, the device utilizes a low-power 400 MHz band radio frequency architecture with FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) modulation. This proprietary protocol allows seamless communication across SOLT central receivers, mobile paging terminals, visual corridor alert units, and computerized audit systems without structural cable routing.

SOLT Central Display Receivers

The transmitter is fully compatible with SOLT centralized master nurse call display units deployed at ward monitoring desks and control rooms. When actuated via the foot switch or reset via the cancel button, the omnidirectional 360-degree helical antenna broadcasts digital alerts directly to the following visual receiver models:

  • SM3-32PN: Multi-channel digital indicator panel for localized station alerting.
  • SM3-33PC: High-visibility central nurse station display receiver for ward-level queue tracking.
  • SM3-61PC: Extended-capacity multi-digit display console for multi-room monitoring.

SOLT Mobile Pagers and Wearable Receivers

For mobile nursing staff, duty doctors, and floor supervisors, alerts generated by the SB6-2XWH-F route directly to portable SOLT alphanumeric receivers. This direct-to-staff alerting model supports active workflows across critical care units and surgical wards:

  • SP5 Series (including SP5-200): Alphanumeric belt-clip staff pagers displaying caller location and alert status.
  • SP7 Series (including SP7-100): Compact wrist-worn pagers providing vibration and visual call notifications.
  • SP9 Series: Advanced multi-line wearable receivers for high-density patient response workflows.

Visual Overdoor Indicators and Signal Extension

The unit pairs with secondary corridor signalling hardware to provide instant optical cues to personnel in transit, as well as hardware designed to bypass structural radio frequency attenuation:

  • SOLT SL Series Corridor Door Lights: Multi-color visual indicator lamps mounted above patient rooms, operation suites (OT/OR), or washrooms to visually mirror the transmitter call and cancel status.
  • SOLT SR5-BPR Signal Repeaters: Bi-directional RF repeaters utilized to extend transmission range across reinforced-concrete walls, multi-floor healthcare facilities, and expansive commercial layouts.

PC Monitoring and Central Audit Integration

The transmitter links with SOLT central administrative management platforms via the SR5-MPR PC monitoring data receiver. Operating on the 400 MHz band, the receiver captures raw transmission events and interfaces with SOLT operational logging software to record response times, call timestamps, cancel events, and response statistics. This data logging assists hospital management in auditing patient emergency responses and satisfying accreditation benchmarks, including NABH and JCI protocols.
