Movable Bracket Mounting and Orientation
The Ahuja PS-300TM is supplied with an adjustable, movable mounting bracket engineered for rapid deployment across commercial walls and rigid flat surfaces. System installers can fix the bracket in either a vertical or horizontal orientation depending on architectural constraints and the desired acoustic dispersion angle. Because the complete plastic cabinet assembly weighs approximately 1.04 kg with dimensions of 105 mm (W) × 161 mm (H) × 119 mm (D), it mounts securely to standard masonry, drywall, or architectural panelling using appropriate wall fasteners.
Rotary Switch Selection and Power Tapping
On-site acoustic calibration is managed via an integrated rotary switch located on the unit. This switch allows technical operators to quickly match the speaker to the amplifier source without opening the cabinet or modifying internal transformer wiring. Installers can switch between distributed 100V constant-voltage line operation and direct low-impedance drive:
- 100V Line Mode (1.5W Tap): Ideal for low-ambient sound zones, corridors, or high-density background music arrays requiring minimal power draw.
- 100V Line Mode (3W Tap): Standard setting for standard corporate office floors, bank branches, and retail environments.
- 100V Line Mode (6W Tap): High-output setting delivering increased sound pressure up to the 10W RMS / 15W Max rated ceiling for louder commercial spaces and restaurants.
- Low Impedance Mode (8Ω): Bypasses the internal line matching transformer to operate directly on standard 8 Ohm low-impedance audio amplifiers.
Wiring Configuration and Line Balancing
When deploying the PS-300TM across distributed 100V public address lines, ensure that the total wattage load of all connected speakers on a single zone does not exceed the continuous power rating of the 100V PA amplifier. The 2-way driver system—consisting of a 75 mm (3-inch) woofer and a 31 mm (1.22-inch) tweeter—covers a frequency response of 150 Hz to 20,000 Hz with a sensitivity of 86 dB (1W/1m). Maintaining consistent phase polarity across all parallel speaker drops prevents low-frequency cancellation across shared commercial zones.
