Hitune HTZA-4000EM Installation, Wiring, and Audio Integration Guide

Chassis Placement and Physical Mounting Considerations

The Hitune Bass HTZA-4000EM (TZA-4000EM) is housed in a rugged black metal sheet enclosure measuring 510 mm in width, 172 mm in height, and 385 mm in depth. Due to the total net weight of 24.2 kg, install the amplifier on a reinforced equipment rack shelf, heavy-duty industrial audio bench, or dedicated structural platform rated to sustain substantial mechanical loads without deflection.

Because the amplifier operates with an AC power consumption rating of 700VA and DC current draw of 9A under maximum output, sufficient ventilation clearance must be maintained around the metal chassis. Avoid blocking heat ventilation pathways or placing the amplifier directly adjacent to external thermal sources inside enclosed racks or control cabinets.

Primary AC Mains and 24V DC Battery Supply Wiring

The HTZA-4000EM features a dual-source power input architecture to ensure uninterrupted audio transmission in commercial and industrial facilities:

  • AC Mains Operation: Connect the amplifier to a stable alternating current supply rated at 220–240V AC, 50/60Hz. The internal power transformer handles up to 700VA AC power demand during continuous dual-zone operation.
  • DC Auxiliary Backup Operation: For emergency evacuation or backup power configurations, terminate a 24V DC direct current supply into the rear DC terminals. This DC input requires two 12V car batteries (they are not included) wired in series. Ensure proper polarity alignment and cable gauge selection capable of delivering 9A DC continuous current under full load.

Dual-Zone Loudspeaker Terminal Connections

The unit features independent dual-zone output channels (Zone 1 and Zone 2) designed to deliver power separately to two isolated areas, such as indoor and outdoor acoustic environments. The amplifier provides a maximum output capacity of 300W + 300W Max, with nominal RMS output ratings calibrated at 200W + 200W RMS at 10% THD, 180W + 180W RMS at 5% THD, and 165W + 165W RMS at 2% THD. Output regulation remains within ≤ 2 dB from no-load to full-load conditions at 1kHz.

Each zone must be wired strictly according to one of the following impedance or line-voltage formats:

Output ConfigurationTerminal TapInstallation Matching Parameters
Low-Impedance Standard4Ω or 8ΩUsed for direct, short-run speaker circuits. Ensure the cumulative speaker load impedance matches the selected 4Ω or 8Ω tap per zone without dropping below rated limits.
Distributed Constant-Voltage70V LineUsed for multi-speaker commercial distributions. Speakers require step-down line matching transformers tapped at 70V. Total tapped wattage must not exceed the amplifier zone wattage rating.
Distributed Constant-Voltage100V LineUsed for long-distance distributed public address lines. Connect loudspeakers fitted with 100V line transformers, ensuring sum total transformer wattage remains within RMS limits.

Input Cabling, Signal Routing, and Calibration

The HTZA-4000EM mixer section integrates multiple inputs to accommodate dynamic microphones, playback devices, and external mixing consoles:

  • Microphone Channels: Connect low-impedance microphones across the 6 Mono Mic input channels (sensitivity: 0.6mV at 4.7kΩ input impedance).
  • Auxiliary and Line Inputs: Terminate external media players or pre-recorded messaging systems into the 2 Aux inputs (100mV / 470kΩ), the Line L/R inputs (1V / 50kΩ), or the Stereo L/R inputs (200mV / 100kΩ).
  • Peripheral and Preamp Cascading: For system expansion, link outboard recording equipment, signal processors, or booster amplifiers utilizing the Preamp output (200mV / 600Ω) or Line output (1V / 1kΩ).

Configure the system mode based on operational requirements. Select Stereo Music Operation for DJ programmes and split-channel stereo audio feeds, or engage simultaneous dual-group Mono mode to broadcast microphone signals and background audio across both zones at independently calibrated volume levels. Finalize commissioning by tuning the onboard tone controls (Bass: ±10dB at 100Hz; Treble: ±10dB at 10kHz) to optimize speech intelligibility across the 50 Hz to 15,000 Hz (±3dB) operating frequency spectrum at a 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio.
