Wireless Peripherals and RF Hardware Expansion
The Hikvision DS-PWA32-KG AXHub control panel operates on a 433 MHz carrier frequency utilizing two-way 2GFSK wireless modulation, protected by military-grade AES-128 bit data encryption. The system architecture supports up to 32 wireless alarm inputs and up to 32 wireless outputs across an open-area line-of-sight transmission range of up to 800 meters. This infrastructure natively accommodates the included DS-PD2-P10P-W wireless PIR motion detector (powered by a 3.0V CR123A battery (they are not included)) and the DS-PD1-MC-WWS wireless magnetic contact sensor, alongside additional compatible intrusion detectors.
For system automation, control, and local signalling, the panel supports up to 8 wireless remote keyfobs, including the bundled DS-19K00-Y keyfob (powered by a 3.0V CR2032 battery (they are not included)) with an open-field control radius of up to 300 meters. The panel further interfaces with up to 2 wireless external/indoor sirens and can integrate up to 4 wireless output expanders for relay integration with auxiliary industrial or building systems. The panel itself maintains continuous operational readiness via a 5 VDC, 10 W external power connection backed by an internal 3.8V 4520 mAh lithium backup battery (they are not included) delivering up to 12 hours of standby performance.
Network Infrastructure and Communication Channels
Engineered for mission-critical alarm reporting redundancy, the DS-PWA32-KG platform incorporates three distinct network communication interfaces:
- Wired Ethernet: Integrated RJ45 10M/100M self-adaptive Ethernet port for direct physical connection to structured commercial LAN and WAN networks.
- Wireless LAN: Standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (supporting 802.11b/g/n wireless standards) for flexible wireless network routing. Network provisioning is managed locally via an on-board AP/STA hardware DIP switch.
- Cellular Network: On-board cellular GPRS engine accepting standard mini-SIM cards to route secondary data transmission, outbound voice alert phone calls, and automated SMS incident notifications.
IP Video Surveillance and ONVIF Camera Compatibility
The panel features native Intruder Verification as a Service (IVaaS), providing on-board video verification for up to 2 IP camera channels. Upon an intrusion event trigger, the system links alarm inputs to network video streams to push 7-second recorded video clips (composed of 5 seconds pre-alarm and 2 seconds post-alarm footage) directly to security operators. In addition to native Hikvision network cameras, the hub provides broad interoperability with third-party IP cameras using the open ONVIF communication protocol.
CMS Protocols, SDKs, and Management Platforms
The DS-PWA32-KG interfaces with existing centralized security operations, Central Monitoring Stations (CMS), and corporate management infrastructure through industry-standard telemetry and client applications:
| Platform / Interface | Supported Standard / Environment | Functional Role |
|---|---|---|
| ARC / CMS Receivers | SIA-Contact ID Protocol | Centralized alarm event reporting to automated alarm receiving centers |
| VMS / Security Management | HikCentral Professional (V1.5 / V2.2) & iVMS-4200 | Enterprise multi-site device configuration, event logging, and surveillance monitoring |
| Mobile & Cloud Management | Hik-Connect & Ezviz Protocol | Cloud-based remote arming/disarming, QR code sensor enrollment, and push alerts |
| Software Integration | HIK-SDK | Direct API/SDK connection for custom industrial security control solutions |
