Intercom Topology and Linked Device Capacity
The Hikvision DS-KH9310-WTE1(B) KH9 series indoor station operates as a network master console within IP video intercom installations. The unit is engineered to link directly across local network infrastructures to coordinate up to 17 door stations (doorphones), up to 16 linked indoor extensions, and up to 16 linked network IP cameras. The pre-installed Hikvision Hik-Connect application allows complete configuration, device control, and video monitoring of connected Hikvision IP hardware directly on the station without requiring external system switching.
Network, Video, and Audio Protocol Compatibility
The DS-KH9310-WTE1(B) communicates across enterprise IP infrastructures utilizing standard TCP/IP, SIP, and RTSP protocols. Physical local area network integration is provided via a single RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive Ethernet port. Wireless local area network connectivity is supported through a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi interface compliant with IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, and IEEE 802.11n standards.
Video streams received from door stations and network cameras are decoded on the 1024 × 600 capacitive display using industry-standard H.265 and H.264 video compression codecs. Bidirectional voice communication is supported through an integrated omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker with noise suppression and echo cancellation, maintaining cross-compatibility through multiple audio compression standards operating at a 64 Kbps bitrate:
- G711.U and G711.A (G.711 u-law / a-law)
- G722.1 and G726
- OPUS
- AAC_LC and AAC_LD
Operating System and Software Integration
Built upon an embedded high-performance processor running the Android 10.1 operating system, the DS-KH9310-WTE1(B) includes 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal ROM. The open software environment supports custom third-party Android application installation and allows third-party software integration, enabling operators to host third-party building automation, access management, or unified control applications directly on the indoor station.
Physical Interfacing, Relays, and Storage Compatibility
The indoor station provides terminal-based hardware compatibility for perimeter security components and peripheral access devices:
- Alarm Terminals: 8 integrated alarm inputs for wired detection zones and 1 alarm output relay.
- Serial Interfacing: 1 half-duplex RS-485 serial communication bus.
- Lock Control Outputs: 1 dry contact relay rated for switching loads up to 30 VDC, 0.3 A, alongside 1 high/low level relay output (3.3 V / 0 V) for triggering automated doors or access controllers.
- Local Storage Expansion: An integrated TF card slot accepting memory cards up to 128 GB, supplementing the station's internal capacity for 200 captured pictures, 200 alarm records, and 200 notices.
- Maintenance Ports: MicroUSB interface and dedicated debugging port.
Power Infrastructure and Mounting Accessories
The station supports dual power infrastructure standards: it can be powered directly over the network line using standard IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), or via its physical power supply interface using an external 12 VDC, 1 A power source (total power consumption ≤ 12 W). The station is compatible with the following optional Hikvision accessories:
- Power Adapters: Hikvision DS-KAW50-1 and DS-KAW50-1N power supplies.
- Mounting Hardware: Standard surface wall mounting bracket and the DS-KABH9510-T optional desktop table stand.
