The Ahuja SSA-10000 High Wattage PA Mixer Amplifier is engineered for broad integration across industrial public address architectures, multi-source sound reinforcement systems, and high-capacity commercial audio networks. Featuring multiple input sensitivity profiles, balanced line outputs, and versatile load-matching capabilities, the unit integrates smoothly with both legacy equipment and modern signal processing infrastructure.

Audio Source and Mixing Console Interfacing

The unit provides dedicated input connectivity for high-density voice and media source requirements:

  • Microphone Inputs: 8 independent microphone input channels rated at 0.8mV/4.7kΩ, supporting standard dynamic microphones across distributed paging and multi-announcer installations.
  • Auxiliary Playback Inputs: 3 auxiliary line inputs rated at 100mV/50kΩ, alongside 1 dedicated Aux-4 input rated at 250mV/50kΩ terminated with an RCA socket for standard media sources, including CD players, DVD players, and external digital playback units.
  • Master Line Input: 1 high-level Line input rated at 1V/50kΩ, allowing the SSA-10000 to receive pre-mixed master audio feeds directly from external audio mixers or downstream mixing consoles, converting the unit into a high-capacity Booster Power Amplifier.

System Expansion, Recording, and Booster Amplifier Links

To support large-scale facility expansion and multi-zone zoning architectures, the SSA-10000 incorporates dedicated pre-amplified output lines:

  • Preamplifier Output: 200mV/600Ω output tap for driving auxiliary processing equipment, sub-mixers, or dedicated multi-channel signal routing devices.
  • Line Output: 1V/1kΩ output tap designed for daisy-chaining directly to secondary booster power amplifiers or feeding line-level master feeds to dedicated audio recording hardware.

Loudspeaker Load Matching and Acoustic Transducer Safeguards

The amplifier is equipped with flexible high- and low-impedance terminal taps to match diverse loudspeaker configurations across short-throw and long-distance distributed speaker lines:

To ensure compatibility across different speaker types, the SSA-10000 features an integrated Box Speaker/Driver Unit selector switch. When switched to the Driver Unit mode, the internal bass boost circuitry (which normally allows ±10dB at 100Hz) is automatically defeated to protect compression driver units and acoustic horns from low-frequency diaphragm excursion damage.

Mains Power and DC Battery Backup Compatibility

The amplifier operates from a standard single-phase AC mains supply of 220–240V AC at 50/60Hz with a rated power consumption of 1600VA. For critical continuity applications, the internal power supply includes an automatic transfer mechanism that instantly switches to a 48V DC power source requiring four 12V car battery units (they are not included) at a 12A current draw upon any AC mains interruption. Overload and line-level short-circuit protection across connected circuits is maintained by a resettable circuit breaker and a rear-mounted MCB.
