Installation and Wiring Guide for GST C-9329 Gas Extinguishing Control Relay Module

Proper field installation of the GST C-9329 Gas Extinguishing Control Relay Module (Product No. 10102343) ensures dependable control of gas release solenoids and accurate feedback monitoring from cylinder pressure switches. Engineered by Gulf Security Technology Co., Ltd., this unit utilizes a two-piece plug-in architecture comprising a dedicated mounting base and a detachable electronics housing. To prevent mechanical or electrical stress, all physical mounting and conductor terminations must be executed on the base prior to docking the module.

Mechanical Mounting & Enclosure Preparation

The base unit of the C-9329 is designed for surface mounting in clean, accessible service locations within fire control or cylinder storage areas. The white (RAL9016) ABS enclosure measures 120mm × 80mm × 43mm and weighs 188g with the base attached. Installers must secure the base using the pre-formed mounting holes spaced at a center-to-center pitch distance of 65mm.

Ensure that the mounting surface is flat and vibration-free. Environmental conditions must align with the operational ambient temperature rating of -10°C to +50°C and a relative humidity threshold not exceeding 95% (non-condensing). Conforming to standard EN 54-18:2005, the module should be positioned to allow convenient inspection while ensuring sufficient clearance for cable routing and unit removal.

Field Wiring and Cable Sizing Requirements

Field cabling must meet stringent fire safety standards and local code requirements. To maintain operational integrity under actuation loads, the GST C-9329 requires specific cable cross-sectional areas depending on terminal assignment:

  • Power Lines (DC+ and DC-): Must be wired using fire-resistant cable with a cross-section of 1.5mm² or above.
  • Signal and Actuation Circuits: Must be wired using fire-resistant cable with a cross-section of 1.0mm² or above.

Terminal Block Assignments

Wiring terminations are grouped into dedicated functional terminals designed to interface field hardware with compatible control equipment, including the GST303 and GST306 Gas Extinguishing Control Panels:

  • DC1+ and DC1-: Input terminals designated for receiving the gas extinguishing start command directly from the corresponding output circuits of the gas extinguishing control panel.
  • J11 and J12: Output terminals for the gas extinguishing start command, routed directly to the cylinder release solenoid (rated output contact load: 30VDC / 2A).
  • K11 and K12: Digital input terminals dedicated to cylinder status monitoring; these connect directly to the contact switch of the cylinder pressure switch.
  • YK1 and YK2: Feedback signal output terminals that route pressure switch confirmation back to the corresponding monitoring terminals on the extinguishing control panel.
  • COM and NO: Volt-free (normally open) auxiliary contact terminals for the gas extinguishing start command, deployed according to specific field interfacing and auxiliary signaling requirements.

Final Assembly and Commissioning

Once all conductors are dressed, terminated, and inspected for correct polarity and mechanical firmness, align the module body with the base guides. Firmly press the C-9329 module onto its base until it engages securely into the internal mating connectors. Before energizing the system via the GST303 or GST306 panel, verify that no foreign debris or loose wire strands remain inside the housing.
