  • Unpack & inspect
    • Confirm the unit is undamaged and the supplied accessories (power adapter if provided) match the device requirements.
  • Site selection
    • Mount on a stable, non-vibrating surface at a comfortable height for users.
    • Ambient operating temperature must be within 0 °C to 50 °C.
    • Allow clearance for ventilation and access to the display and ports.
  • Mounting
    • Device dimensions: 160 x 150 x 65 mm; weight: 0.62 kg. Ensure the mounting surface and fasteners support this size and weight.
    • Use appropriate screws/anchors for the wall material. Do not overtighten or deform the housing.
  • Power connection
    • Supply: 12 V DC, 2 A. Use a compatible 12 VDC, 2 A power adapter only.
    • The unit includes inbuilt battery backup. After initial power-up, allow time for the battery to charge before relying solely on battery power.
    • Avoid exposing the power connector to moisture; route cables to avoid tripping hazards.
  • Network and data connectivity
    • Communication options: WiFi, TCP/IP, USB Host.
    • Choose one or more communication methods according to site requirements:
      • WiFi — configure wireless settings from the device menu to join the local network.
      • TCP/IP — connect to the LAN and assign IP settings as required by your network.
      • USB Host — use for manual data export/import if network connectivity is not available.
    • Optional: enable Push Data if central push configuration/service is used at your site.
  • Initial power-on & configuration
    • Power the device on. Use the 2.4" TFT color display (320 x 240 pixel) to follow on-screen prompts for basic configuration (time/date, network, etc.).
    • Set administrator credentials and network parameters before enrolling users.
  • User enrollment & storage
    • The device supports up to 2,000 fingerprint templates and 2,000 cards; ensure you plan enrollment to stay within these limits.
    • Transaction storage capacity is 150,000 records—consider regular backups or data retrieval policies.
  • Verification and final checks
    • Verify network connectivity and data transfer (WiFi/TCP-IP/USB) before handing the device over to users.
    • Test fingerprint, card and password authentication for several users to confirm correct operation.
  • Maintenance & safety
    • Do not expose the device to liquids or extreme humidity.
    • Use only the specified 12 VDC, 2 A power supply and qualified personnel for any internal service.
    • Keep firmware and configuration backups; periodically export transaction data to avoid storage overflow.
If you require site-specific wiring diagrams, mounting templates, or detailed configuration steps, supply documentation from your project team or the manufacturer’s installation manual should be consulted.
