This wrap-around design protects the face against chemical and molten splashes, hot spatters, and high-speed small-to-medium flying fragments encountered during heavy industrial fabrication.
The unit features a dual-position flip-type front window designed to hold both a clear protective plate and a shade-rated DIN filter. This flip mechanism allows welders to inspect cut quality or seam placement under clear glass without removing their head protection. When fitted with DIN filter glass, the unit defends against infrared (IR) emissions and blocks 99% to 99.9% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation emitted during ARC welding, torch brazing, gas cutting, and atomic hydrogen welding.
