Site Preparation and Operating Conditions
Before installing the Autozon STAR-FENCE AZBB115 barrier assembly, verify that site conditions meet equipment environmental specifications. The unit operates in ambient temperatures between -40°C and +60°C (-40°F to +140°F), with a dedicated heating element required for deployment environments dropping below -20°C (-4°F). Operating relative humidity must remain at or below 85%, and the installation site elevation must not exceed 1000 meters.
Anchor the 22 kg barrier cabinet securely onto a level concrete mounting pad. The internal core movement features a side-stick installation layout within the cabinet enclosure, facilitating mechanical alignment and compact internal routing for the die-cast aluminum alloy movement chassis and SCM421 alloy steel three-stage gear transmission.
Electrical Input and Pre-Power Wiring Verification
The barrier mechanism requires an external 24V 10A DC regulated power supply input. The integrated brushless DC motor runs on a 24V DC safety voltage, drawing 6A of operating current with an output efficiency of 140W and Class F motor insulation.
Before supplying power to the mainboard, verify polarity and termination sequences across all terminal blocks:
- DC Power Connections: Check correct positive and negative polarity on the 24V 10A DC power supply input lines to avoid logic board fault locks.
- Motor Lines: Confirm correct phase termination of the brushless motor lines.
- Trigger and Sensor Inputs: Verify signal wiring for external vehicle ground loop detectors, console push buttons, ANPR license plate recognition cameras, and access controllers.
Dual Spring Counterbalance Assembly for 6-Meter Fence Arm
The AZBF036M 6-meter skirting fence boom introduces dynamic palisade drag and deadweight. Balancing requires strict compliance with spring loading rules: never install a single tension spring exceeding Φ4.5 mm alone. Always install two matched tension springs in parallel to distribute mechanical strain and preserve the operational lifespan of the suspension spring bearings. If additional arm accessories are retrofitted—such as anti-smashing rubber cushions or arm light strips—spring tension must be calculated and tensioned upward accordingly.
Mechanical Horizontal and Vertical Linkage Calibration
Ensure precise physical alignment before running motor calibration:
- Horizontal Calibration: The connecting rod and crank must fully coincide with the reducer output shaft when the boom rests horizontally. If the arm is tilted, loosen the two rocker lever retaining screws, adjust the 6-meter boom arm to an exact horizontal plane, and re-torque the screws securely.
- Vertical Calibration: When the arm reaches the open limit, the connecting rod, crank, and deceleration output shaft must extend into an aligned, three-point straight line.
Mainboard Commissioning, Direction Calibration, and Stroke Learning
Upon initial boot, the digital segment display on the barrier mainboard displays '190', indicating that travel limit self-learning is required. Commissioning proceeds through the following sequence:
- Stroke Memorization: Press the manual 'on' and 'off' buttons on the mainboard to trigger self-testing. Ensure the open limit angle extends past 90 degrees and the closed limit travels past 0 degrees during this stroke test to enable baseline electronic calibration. Gate operation speed is configurable between 0.3 seconds and 5.0 seconds.
- Motor Polarity and Travel Direction (Menu L-d): If the gate drives closed upon receiving an 'on' command, or if the mainboard digital display value decreases during opening rather than increasing, access mainboard parameter menu L-d to reverse the motor polarity and directional logic.
Wireless Transmitter Programming and Memory Management
The barrier integrates with AZBLDCTX22 wireless transmitters. Note that if cells or batteries are required for transmitter operation, they are not included in the standard hardware package.
To pair a remote control, access mainboard parameter menu L-F [L15]; the digital LED display shows '000'. Press any functional button on the AZBLDCTX22 transmitter. An audible beep from the mainboard confirms successful code learning, after which the controller automatically returns to base menu standby. To purge pairing memory, navigate to menu L-F [L15], activate the learning setting, enter parameter value 253, and confirm to clear all stored transmitter IDs.
In the event of site power loss, manual declutching tools are unnecessary; the AZBB115 transmission design allows operators to lift the 6-meter fence boom upward directly by hand.
