FAQ

How does the AC-operated SERENITi Mini compare to autonomous solar-powered speed display units?

Answer:
The AC-operated model shares the same IP65 painted metal housing, 12-inch 7-segment display, and 24.15 GHz Doppler radar as solar units, but runs directly on 230V AC without needing external photovoltaic panels or 12V/26Ah storage batteries (they are not included).

Within ADOR's SERENITi speed sign family, the core radar detection and visual signaling modules remain consistent, while the power topology differs based on deployment location:

  • Power Infrastructure: The AC-operated unit (KTI04015002SMVS) is designed for sites with existing electrical wiring, such as toll plazas, facility gates, and street-lit roadways, eliminating the maintenance, footprint, and shading constraints of solar collectors.
  • Shared Display and Sensor Package: Like its solar-powered siblings, it retains the dual-direction 24.15 GHz K-Band radar (5–99 km/h range, ±2 km/h accuracy), 100m detection distance, 12-inch dual-color LED digits, and 300+ meter legibility.
  • Energy Architecture: Unlike solar models that depend on an integrated solar regulator and 12V/26Ah batteries (they are not included), the AC unit relies on a hardwired 230V AC feed protected by an internal miniature circuit breaker (MCB).
