Pre-Installation Requirements & Infrastructure Scope
The KTI 300 MM Dia Traffic Light Yellow DC Operated (SKU: KTI16029024VSL) is engineered for rapid deployment across industrial facilities, weighbridges, security checkpoints, and automated access control gates. Before starting installation, ensure that the designated mounting pole, structural support, and appropriate direct current power source are prepared.
Note that the structural mounting pole is strictly in the client scope and must be procured and anchored separately by the site contractor. The supporting pole structure must be dimensioned to stably support the 4.5 kg unit weight along with localized environmental loads.
Mechanical Pole Mounting with Mild Steel (MS) Clamp
The 300 mm yellow traffic signal assembly includes a dedicated Mild Steel (MS) clamp designed for robust mechanical attachment to round signal poles or structural framework.
- Positioning: Align the single-aspect 300 mm housing at the specified sightline elevation for incoming vehicular traffic or plant machinery operators.
- Clamp Attachment: Position the heavy-duty MS mounting clamp around the client-supplied pole structure and align it with the integrated mounting points on the signal housing.
- Torque & Fastening: Secure the clamp hardware uniformly to eliminate slippage or mechanical vibration, ensuring the yellow aspect remains oriented toward the traffic approach zone.
Electrical Integration & Switch Box Setup
The unit operates on a 12V DC or 24V DC low-voltage electrical circuit. It comes equipped with a dedicated signal control switch box and a 1-meter pre-wired electrical lead for simplified line connection.
- Power Supply Connection: Route direct current wiring from a stable 12V DC or 24V DC power supply, solar power unit, or industrial battery bank to the signal control switch box.
- Polarity Verification: Ensure correct positive and negative DC polarity termination before energizing the yellow optical module to prevent circuit faults.
- Automation & PLC Interface: When integrating into boom barriers, weighbridge automated systems, or plant automation networks, wire the signal switch control circuit in series with the relevant PLC dry contact relay or trigger output.
- Cable Management: Secure the 1-meter factory pre-wired harness along the structural pole using appropriate industrial cable ties or conduits to prevent mechanical stress on cable entry points.

Post-Installation Testing & Commissioning
Once mechanical mounting and electrical terminations are completed, apply 12V or 24V DC power to the system. Toggle the signal control switch box or trigger the automated PLC relay contact to verify immediate optical illumination of the 300 mm yellow aspect.
