Mechanical Mounting and Positioning

The signal head is designed for outdoor pole or gantry mounting configurations, providing clear visual alignment across multi-lane highways, public road intersections, toll plaza lanes, pedestrian crossings, and industrial facility access control points.

During mechanical installation, ensure the mounting brackets support the 300 mm aspect polycarbonate housing securely against environmental wind loads and vibration. Align the optical axis directly toward oncoming vehicular or pedestrian traffic to maximize visibility of both the red and green signal indications.

Electrical Integration and Power Supply Setup

The signal unit operates on a 12V DC or 24V DC electrical architecture. Installers must connect the unit to a stabilized 12V or 24V DC power source, solar power DC system, or compatible traffic signal controller and relay interface. Ensuring precise DC voltage delivery is critical for reliable optical output across both signal aspects.

  • Power Supply Verification: Confirm that the power supply or solar-battery system delivers a consistent 12V DC or 24V DC feed matching the system design.
  • Polarity Alignment: Observe strict terminal polarity when terminating DC input wiring. Polarity reversal on DC input terminals will lead to failure in illumination and prevent signal activation.
  • Controller Interfacing: Route individual control lines for the Red and Green signal circuits through designated relay outputs or solid-state switching channels on the 12V/24V DC traffic controller.

Environmental Sealing and IP65 Protection

The unit features an IP65 certified weather-resistant enclosure molded from durable polycarbonate. To maintain ingress protection against dust and low-pressure water jets in outdoor environments, proper cable ingress practices must be followed during installation.

Route all field wiring through sealed cable entry points. Verify that cable glands are tightened securely around the outer jacket of incoming cables to prevent moisture ingress into the housing. Ensure the housing perimeter gaskets are seated evenly before closing and latching the polycarbonate enclosure.

Ensure the polycarbonate lenses are clean and free of installation dust or debris to deliver unobstructed optical performance.
