Mechanical Mounting and Hardware Positioning
The KTI 300 MM Dia Traffic Light Green is engineered for seamless mechanical deployment across industrial, commercial, and municipal infrastructure. Thanks to its lightweight polycarbonate build with a net weight of just 1.1 kg, structural load on mounting assemblies is minimal, enabling straightforward single-technician positioning and alignment on standard traffic signal pole brackets, cantilever arms, gantry frames, or surface-mounted wall fixtures.
During physical placement, align the 300 mm diameter aspect housing to ensure direct line-of-sight visibility for approaching vehicle operators and site traffic. Ensure that the integrated High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) front hood is positioned directly above the UV-stabilized, water-clear polycarbonate lens to provide optimal shading against overhead sun glare and maintain optical clarity across outdoor installations.
Electrical Wiring and 230V AC Power Connection
Electrical integration requires a direct hardwired connection to a stable 230 V AC operating power supply. Technicians must ensure that incoming mains power is isolated before interfacing with the terminal connections. The internal ultra-bright LED array operates efficiently on direct line voltage without requiring separate external step-down transformers.
- Supply Voltage: 230 V AC, 50 Hz line input.
- Termination: Hardwire line, neutral, and ground conductors into the designated terminal block within the protected housing assembly.
- Cable Entry: Route wiring through weatherproof cable entry points to preserve the sealed integrity of the polycarbonate enclosure against moisture ingress and extreme environmental conditions.
Automation System and Boom Barrier Interfacing
The 230V AC green aspect module is fully compatible with external traffic management hardware, automated switching timers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and parking management infrastructure. For toll plazas, logistics yards, and commercial entry/exit access control checkpoints, wire the 230 V AC feed directly through the normally open (NO) auxiliary output relay of a boom barrier controller or access gate system. When the access control mechanism triggers gate opening, the 230V AC circuit energizes the green ultra-bright LED aspect to signal authorized passage.
Pre-Commissioning Verification Checklist
Complete the following inspection steps prior to handing over the installation for active traffic control operations:
- Enclosure & Lens Inspection: Confirm that the UV-stabilized, water-clear polycarbonate lens and HDPE front hood are securely seated and free from mechanical obstruction.
- Structural Rigidity: Verify that all bracket fasteners and mounting hardware are torqued securely to the pole or support structure to resist wind load and vibration.
- Electrical Isolation & Voltage Check: Measure supply voltage across the input terminals to verify 230 V AC operation within nominal site tolerances.
- Functional Test: Trigger the master controller, barrier output, or switching circuit to confirm instantaneous illumination of the green ultra-bright LEDs.
