Dual-Zone Speaker Wiring and Impedance Matching
The TZA-2000 features independent output terminal strips for Zone 1 and Zone 2, allowing systems integrators to configure low-impedance or high-impedance constant-voltage speaker lines independently per zone. Each zone delivers up to 130W Max (100W RMS at 10% THD) with voltage regulation maintained at ≤ 2 dB from no load to full load at 1kHz. Available speaker connection options include:
- Low-Impedance Connections (4Ω or 8Ω): Used for direct loudspeaker connections over short cable runs. Connect the speaker load to the COM terminal and either the 4Ω or 8Ω tap. Total combined impedance per zone must strictly match the selected output tap.
- High-Impedance Distributed Lines (70V or 100V): Engineered for multi-speaker distributed networks utilizing Line Matching Transformers (LMT). Connect the distributed line between COM and the 70V or 100V tap. The cumulative wattage rating of all connected transformer taps in a zone must not exceed the amplifier zone rating (100W RMS).
- Hybrid Dual-Zone Configurations: Integrators can deploy 100V LMT speakers on Zone 1 (such as factory floor column/ceiling speakers) while driving low-impedance 4Ω or 8Ω speakers on Zone 2 (such as local monitor speakers), or drive 100V / low-impedance lines across both zones simultaneously.
Input and Line-Level Signal Interfacing
Audio source connections are terminated at the amplifier's input stage according to source signal levels:
- Microphone Inputs: Up to 6 mono microphones (input sensitivity 0.6mV / 4.7kΩ impedance) can be patched directly into the front/rear mixing section.
